Yesterday, Sunset Christian Center’s United Youth Culture High School ministry safely landed in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Here’s a quick update from Pastor Vanessa Abina on how things are going so far…
Hello Sunset family and friends,
The team had an eventful first night. Their plane to Florida was eventually canceled, after multiple delays, so they hopped on a flight to New York. Then they took a flight from NY to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. They have contacted us confirming they landed in the Santo Domingo Airport at 11:04am our time, 2:04pm their time yesterday.
Last night the team went to a local church service. They performed the skit 2 Masters (parents saw this at our final meeting) and a human video called Everything (this is a skit done to music). Two students shared personal testimonies and Macie, one of our 2nd year Interns, gave the message. I spoke to Jordan last night and he said everyone did outstanding.
This morning and every morning the team gets up early to have devotions together before breakfast.
Anyways, the team is eating lunch now at their hotel. As I hear more I’ll let you know. J Please keep them in your prayers.
Vanessa

Pastor Vanessa, thank you so much for up-dating us on the youth ministry’s progress. We are so thankful for our granddaughter Macie and what she has brought to our lives, we feel so blessed she is doing what she is so happy doing. We will continue to check this site to see how they are progressing. Sharon & John Ziegler
