Detour Student Ministries is the Jr. High ministry here at Sunset Christian Center. They are all about living their lives for God and not themselves. From the awesome music to the crazy events, great friendships and life changing lessons, they are all about living for God and making a difference through that. They are a generation that will not conform to the standards of this world. Therefore, they are a Detour Nation! Here’s some more encouragement from Detour Pastor Chris Haggard about their new ministry season that’s about to kick off…
Just wanted to tell you guys that I am so excited for this season and I am expecting a lot of cool things! I want you to come this year with high expectations and be ready for God to blow those out of the water. We kick things off with A.O. this Sunday and then the first Detour service will be next Wednesday, August 25th!!
I know school is starting/has started and I wanted to encourage you to stand firm! In The Message, this is what Matthew 24:13 says…
“Staying with it—that’s what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll be saved.”
Let this encourage you and I can’t wait to see you guys and hangout more! Love you guys! You’re awesome!
